As an Important Birding Area, Boyce Thompson Arboretum invites all who love birds to take part in a walk around the main trail and the Queen Creek riparian area to listen and look for avian wildlife. Our guided bird walks are an ideal way to get into birdwatching and for long-term birders to sharpen their skills. Beginners are welcome. No binoculars? No problem! Ask in our gift shop when you pay admission; loaner binoculars are available. Check our recent bird sightings, for a preview of what you might see on the trails. Space is limited; pre-registration required.

Two April celebrations, one shared legacy.
Founder’s Day on April 1st reminds us of the bold vision of Colonel Boyce Thompson that planted the first seeds of what is now Boyce Thompson Arboretum. Arbor Day on April 24th reminds us why that vision still matters. Honor both by making a gift that protects our tree collections, supports education, and ensures that the Arboretum continues to thrive for generations to come.
