Boyce Thompson Arboretum is safe and is not in danger by the Whitlow Fire

Tonto National Forest has implemented an Emergency Closure Order over a large portion of the forest in the Mesa Ranger District to prohibit people from accessing multiple road and trail systems that could lead to the areas where they are conducting firefighting operations. This closure will not have an impact on the operations of the Arboretum.
