- Start early: plan your visit during the coolest part of the day
- Bring plenty of water
- Wear light-weight, light-colored clothing
- Bring sun protection: sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, etc.

Butterfly bush keeping true to its name 🦋
Butterfly bush, or Buddleja, is nicknamed after its ability to attract butterflies, and this on has attracted a Pipevine swallowtail.
Explore more commonly found butterfly species and their host plants at one of our upcoming Butterfly Walks. Upcoming Walks:
- March 28th, 2026: 10:30 am-11:30 am
- April 11th, 2026: 10:00 am-11:00 am
- April 25th, 2026: 10:00 am-11:00 am
- May 9th, 2026: 9:00 am-10:00 am
Scheduled walks and tours are limited to 15 and guests and free with admission. Registration is first come, first serve. To register for a tour or walk, sign up at the Welcome Center.
