It`s #retroday and we`re throwing it back to 1929.
Three years after being built, the above photo was taken of our now historic Smith Greenhouses. Over its century long life, Smith has served as an administration building, visitor center, research laboratory, and greenhouse.

Mountain Aloes (Aloe marlothii) are livening up the trails with their fiery blooms.
The mountain aloe is native to South Africa. Characterized by its branched inflorescence, a cluster of flowers on a branch or a system of branches, mountain aloes can have up to 50 flower stalks on one plant.
That many flowers makes these aloes a favorite among pollinators. Pause to watch these plants and you are likely to see bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.
Explore all of the aloe blooms Boyce Thompson Arboretum has to offer. Plan your visit at the link in bio.
