Postcards of Joy | A Creative Block Printing Workshop

Guided by travelling artist Shannon Rose Moriarty, create postcards that capture the moments that bring you the most joy, whether they’re big or small. This workshop will encourage participants to design postcards that celebrate happiness, moments of pure bliss, and things that make life worth smiling about. Using simple block printing techniques, participants will transform their joyful memories into tangible, shareable works of art. This workshop is open to artists of all skill levels and is designed to nurture creativity and self-expression. Whether you’re new to printmaking or an experienced artist, you’ll be guided through the process in a supportive and welcoming environment.

Shannon Rose Moriarty is a traveling teaching artist who believes in the creative power of authenticity and connection. With over a decade of experience in arts education and community outreach, she creates workshops across the country that invite people to slow down, explore, and rediscover joy through making. Traveling in her vintage camper, Shannon transforms each stop into a creative gathering—using storytelling, drawing, and reflection to help participants express moments of stillness, belonging, and play. Her multidisciplinary practice includes ceramics, printmaking, cyanotype, and collage, exploring how creativity can ground us, empower us, and bring people together. Through her workshops and postcard designs inspired by life on the road, Shannon reminds others that art isn’t about perfection—it’s about presence, curiosity, and connection.
